Waiting Times for Routine Appointments

We would like to acknowledge and sincerely apologise for the recent delays many of you have experienced in accessing routine appointments at our practice. We are aware that over the last few months, waiting times for a routine appointment has crept up to eight or even ten weeks.

We understand how frustrating and concerning long waiting times can be, and we truly appreciate your patience during this challenging period. We want to reassure you that maintaining patient safety and providing timely care remain our top priorities.

To address the backlog and reduce waiting times, our GPs have been holding additional clinics outside of regular hours to catch up with the waiting list. Thanks to these extra efforts, we are already seeing improvements and are committed to continuing this work until service levels return to what you expect and deserve.

Please rest assured that throughout this time, we have continued to maintain capacity for urgent and same-day care to ensure that patients in need of immediate attention are seen promptly.

We are working hard to improve access for all patients and to strengthen the service going forward. Your understanding and continued support mean a great deal to us as we make these necessary improvements.
